June 30, 2010 What a night!!! Tonight a few of us went to visit our brethren at Amity Lodge in Dunnville. Ron M. was a wonderful host and had prepared a delicious roast beef dinner with all the fixings. The food and hospitality of his family was much appreciated. After the fantastic meal our small group hopped in Larry H.'s truck for a quick drive over to the lodge. Upon our arrival only 10 minutes before the lodge was to open we found ours to be the only vehicle in the parking lot. We promptly called the number listed on the door and indeed found out that we were right on time, a week late. We went back to Ron's trailer and sat around a blazing bonfire in our suits singing songs while Ron played the guitar. A wonderful time was had by all. Thanks again Ron and family it will be a night I remember for a long time. My apologies to the brethren of Amity Lodge. We'll catch you next time! Brethren, until we meet again, may the G.A.O.T.U. watch over you and keep you safe. Fraternally, Glen V. W.M. June 28, 2010 I'm hoping this finds everyone having a safe and enjoyable summer. I myself am having a wonderful time but I am looking forward to getting back into the lodge and being amongst my brethren. I must congratulate, Beach Lodge's, newest E.A.M., Bro. Mark R.. He was an excellent candidate and I look forward to watching him progress through his Masonic career. The number and caliber of the men coming into masonry at this time is a wonderful thing to behold. I am glad I am here to witness Masonry flourish once again. At our Septmeber meeting we will be performing an Initation for Mr. Derek J.. I would ask all Beach Lodge brethren to try to be in attendance so we can give our soon to be newest member a warm Beach Lodge welcome. Enjoy the rest of your summer and I will see you all shortly! Brethren, until we meet again, may the G.A.O.T.U. watch over you and keep you safe. Fraternally, Glen V. W.M. May 11, 2010 Our final regular meeting before the summer break has come and gone. Congratulations to Bro. Gerald D. for his being initiated into masonry. His attention to and the manner he conducted himself through the ceremony have me waiting on the edge of my seat to see him progress through the degrees of Freemasonry. I'm sure he will be an excellent candidate and an outstanding mason in general. Congratulations, should also go out to Bro. Derek H. on his being invested in the JS chair and receiving his Grand Lodge certificate. He has proven himself time and again that he is a great person. Now I am happy to see him taking to the chairs and really taking part in masonry. Good for you Derek, I couldn't be happier. Beach Lodge can now truly boast that it has every chair filled with MM's as the officers. We were blessed with many visitors tonight. I must thank our brethren from Fairbank Lodge for making the trip from Toronto to visit with us before the summer break. We always look forward to your visits and look forward to returning the visit at your Installation on November 1st. Brethren, once again we have an emergent meeting on May 25th to welcome Mr. Mark R. to our fraternity. Please be in attendance to give him a warm Beach Lodge welcome. Brethren, until we meet again, may the G.A.O.T.U. watch over you and keep you safe. Fraternally, Glen V. W.M. May 5, 2010 Congratulations, to Brother Michael F. and Michael B. for being R. to the S.D. of a MM at our emergent night. They were excellent candidates and I know they made their brethren and their mentors extremely proud. Michael B. had to travel for thirty hours from Africa to be with us his on this momentous occasion. The brethren taking part in the degree did a remarkable job and I'm sure left a lasting impression on our two newest MM's. Derek H. has proven himself as a MM. He is set to be invested in his new office at our next regular meeting. Great Work Derek!! You are an excellent example to the craft. I still look forward to watching and helping you progress and grow as a Mason. Brethren in May we once again have two meetings. Our regular meeting on May 11th and an emergent meeting on May 25th. Both will be C.s of I.. Please join us and give our newest brethren a very warm Beach Lodge welcome. Brethren, until we meet again, may the G.A.O.T.U. watch over you and keep you safe. Fraternally, Glen V. W.M. April 18, 2010 Brethren, First I would like to apologize for an error in last month summons. I incorrectly named Bro. Duncan M. as the recipient of his 25 year as a Mason pin when it was in fact his brother, Bro. Gordon M.. I apologize for the confusion. I would like to congratulate Bro. Matthew S. on his being R. to the S. D. of a M.M.. He was an excellent candidate and was very receptive to the brilliantly done degree work by the officers and members of Beach Lodge. For all those who participated in parts for the degree I would like to thank you for your excellent work. For all brethren that were in attendance, I would like to thank you for the respect and consideration you showed the candidate as well as the brethren doing the ritual work. At our next regular meeting we will be initiating a new brother into Beach Lodge. Please brethren if you can make it, join us. Let's give him a warm Beach Lodge Welcome into Masonry. If any brother is in need of a ride please contact either myself, or the Transportation Committee and we will be happy to arrange a ride and bring you out to the meeting. Brethren, until we meet again, may the G.A.O.T.U. watch over you and keep you safe. Fraternally, Glen V. W.M. March 10, 2010 Brethren, in the recent past this message below read incorrectly. I had Congratulated Bro. Duncan M. on his receiving his 25 year as a mason pin. It was supposed to be his brother's name, Bro Gordon M., which is now listed below. To the family of Bros. Gordon, Duncan, and Scott I apologize for the mistake and will correct it in next month's summons. Brethren, Congratulations, to Bro. Michael A. F. for being an excellent candidate on his being passed to the Second Degree. Michael you made us all proud! Thank you for all the hard work you put in to make the night as successful as it was. Congratulations, are also in order for Bro. Gordon M., on his receiving his 25 years as a Mason Pin. I would like to thank all our visitors including R.W. Bro. William A. C. and the brethren from Tuscan Lodge for showing up with such great numbers and really making it a night for all of us at Beach Lodge to remember. A special thanks to Bro. Jeremy D., from The Barton Lodge #6, for sitting in as Junior Deacon. You did a fantastic job and as always you were there for Beach Lodge when it needed you most. W. Bro Larry C., I must thank you for stepping in for our chaplain, Bro. Bob A., after his accident. Your work, as always, was perfect! I'm sure Uncle Bob would have been proud of the job you were able to perform in his absence. To the Officers of Beach Lodge and other members that participated in the degree: Thank you for your continued dedication to the ritual and your fulfillment of your duties both in and out of lodge. Last, but not least, thank you R. W. Bro. Gary P. H. for putting me at ease on one of the most nervous nights of my life. Your great leadership and kindness will never be forgotten. It is truly an honour and I am blessed to share my year with you. Brethren, until we meet again, may the G.A.o.t.U watch over and keep you safe. Fraternally, Glen V. W.M. |
